Skills / Experience:
Knowledge of Windows operating systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems, particularly Small Business Server 2003
Knowledge of PC hardware
Knowledge of networking (switches, routers, protocols, DNS etc)
Ability to install, configure and maintain PCs and/or other related hardware
Ability to analyse requirements and assist to finding solutions
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
Good personal organisation skills
Ability to work in a close knit team
Professional demeanour and customer-focussed orientation
Use of own vehicle
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day administration and maintenance of contracted clients networks
Maintain documents for existing and new networks
Integrate and work alongside other members of the team
Support for (predominantly) network-related issues through our support system
(email, telephone, remote support)
Installation of new equipment on-site ? from additional client machines on a network through to full server installations
Fault analysis and escalation through to 2nd line support if required
Provide assistance in setting up and monitoring networks to look for preventative fix and advice
Assist in the specification and acquisition of products on behalf of clients
Self development and current awareness of technical issues to permit an effective
performance in the role
Promote best interest of ICT and the company
Salary/Benefits - £15k - £18k
Hours - 40 hours
