Help Desk Technician

Based in Manchester £14k


The Job

Working closely with the Directors and a team of offshore I.T. support staff, the role of Help Desk Technician involves ensuring clients I.T. support needs are handled with the utmost level of efficiency, care and dedication.


Responsibilities Include

  • To log, track and resolve I.T. support calls placed by our Managed Services and SpectorSoft corporate clients.
  • To deliver remote support and on rare occasions onsite support to clients.
  • To instruct, through email and phone, and coordinate offshore help desk personnel to perform remote I.T. support tasks.
  • To assist in the completion of projects in conjunction with the company s Technical Director and any other external contractors instructed.
  • To identify sales opportunities within the process of resolving client s I.T. issues.

  • The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently in an organised manner.
  • MCP status, working towards MCSA or MCSE.
  • A good appreciation of desktop, server & associated technologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, Small Business Server 2003 & Windows Server 2003.
  • Some knowledge or experience of Windows network environments would be advantageous.
