Technical Support Engineer
Based in West Sussex
Technical Support Engineers will be required to cover the following shifts; 6.45am – 3.30pm, 8.45am to 5.30pm, 10.15am to 7.00pm
Salary negotiable depending on experience
Our client is a well established and highly respected IT provider. They have an excellent track record in integrating complex networking solutions and management information systems; helping businesses to develop their IT strategies and stay competitive.
Job Requirements (knowledge and skills):
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 is essential
- Good understanding of networking
- Previous helpdesk experience, ideally working for a value added reseller or systems integrator
- Proven troubleshooting/escalation skills
- Previous Navision experience
Personal Attributes:
- Positive attitude and good verbal communication skills, with both internal and external customers
- To have the ability to take control of the customer to ensure that the right resolution is agreed and actioned
- To be able to put customers at ease and to use open and closed questions to probe for relevant information on both technical issues and business impact
- To be able to handle difficult customers in a positive way
- To have excellent time management skills
- To have a high degree of attention to detail
- To be versatile and adaptable in order to meet business objectives
- To be smartly dressed and punctual at all times
