On completion of the Cisco Networking career path you will be able to install, configure and operate local and wide area networks. A network is two or more computers that are linked in order to share resources such as printers, to exchange files or to allow electronic communications. Most organisations, large and small, will be using networks and will need skilled staff to be able to manage and maintain them.
Ultimately you may aim to be a project manager or engineer, connecting and designing networks that will ‘talk’ to each other, even across the world. The career opportunities in CompTIA and Cisco are very exciting and typically you will end up working for a national or even global organisation.
Continuous Professional Development
Once you reach this senior level your everyday experience will provide opportunities for continuous professional development.
You may also consider additional training at a higher level, on new technology areas or in management, commercial or business skills.
