Donna Evans has just passed her course in Business Systems Analysis and Design. Previously an Incident Co-ordinator, Donna was facing potential redundancy so she decided to retrain.
After seeing a TV advert for Computeach, Donna went onto the website to find out more. Impressed by the length of Computeach's history and their reputation as the UK's leading IT training provider, Donna rang for further information and a sales advisor gave more specific details about her IT course.
Although Donna sometimes found it difficult working full time as well as studying, she knew that she had to put in the effort in order to gain her qualifications and improve her job prospects. She gives this advice to fellow or prospective students:
"Be prepared for putting in the hard work with the knowledge that it will be worthwhile at the end. Don't give up and definitely do not be afraid to ask questions, no matter how silly you think they may be."
Throughout her studies, Donna was able to have the continual support of tutors and fellow students through in-centre study days, which gave her the ability to quickly solve any questions she had with the course. The Computeach student website also provided her with learning support through student forums.
While still studying, Donna accepted a job offer for a global IT organisation as Team Leader for Incident Managers. Making the move to her new job role has given her the step up she needed in the management scale within IT.
