Susanne succeeds in software support

Susanne Holland successfully made the transition from a job in a bar in to a high flying career in the IT industry.

Susanne Holland's two years serving drinks weren't the most inspiring and she longed for a better career. Her friends were earning more money and had more free time, so she felt left behind. She was unable to afford the same luxuries they could.

Susanne had tried to get another job, but a lack of the right qualifications prevented her from moving on.

Having seen a television advert for Computeach, mum Susanne realised that she could retrain to gain the right qualification to get the IT career she was looking for. Computeach offered a unique learning programme that meant Susanne could still work while she studied.

"I was interested in computers and how they worked," Susanne explained. In order to tap into her true career potential, she chose to retrain and gain the IT skills that recruiters are looking for.

Even before she had reached the end of her IT course, Susanne secured an IT job as a software support engineer with a banking software company in Sandbach. Her new IT career involves installing software, programming and manning the helpdesk.

"Although I had no experience as such, my new company were impressed by the IT course syllabus".
