A web design company has pointed to the benefits of outsourcing web design to specialists and looked to debunk the traditional views of outsourcing.
Discount Web Design has pointed to the growing trend to outsource website design, which is leading to an increase in demand for people planning a web design career.
The organisation has also suggested that businesses need not worry about the concept of outsourcing when it comes to web design, explaining that the experience of businesses using such services differs markedly from those outsourcing customer service functions.
Referring to outsourcing of customer service and back-office functions, the company said: "A lack of personal touch, poor communication skills and accents means that these services are not welcomed by customers at large".
However, it explained that this experience is not one shared by outsourcing of web design services, which is why the sector is becoming increasingly popular, pushing up demand for people taking web design courses.
Recent figures from the Independent Oracle Users Group revealed there has been a 40 per cent increase in database administration outsourcing over the past year, as outsourcing becomes more popular among businesses seeking to make savings during the recession.
