Recruitment in the IT careers market is poised to increase, a research white paper has revealed.
In news that could please people hoping to retrain and begin IT careers, research by the IT Jobs Board revealed that despite short-term reductions, demand for suitably qualified workers would increase.
The recruiter assessed candidate research patterns and found more than half of jobseekers (53 per cent) were looking online for their next job.
It also concluded the greatest need for workers ready to go into IT careers is in London (36.2 per cent of advertised posts), the south-east (21 per cent) and the south-west (11 per cent).
Teresa Sperti, head of international marketing at the IT Job Board, explained that companies have to be aware of what the IT industry needs.
"It is important for clients to continue to improve their employer brand, in order to attract the right industry talent," Ms Sperti said.
Workers that use computers everyday can now buy smaller laptops, known as netbooks, and still run their everyday programs without the need for a full-sized computer.
