Those hoping to make a career change after completing an IT training course may be encouraged by reports suggesting the job market is set to improve.
According to Richard Doherty, vice president of solutions and marketing at recruitment firm JobPartners, new figures offer job seekers a "glimmer of hope".
The Employment Outlook Survey from Manpower UK projected that there will be a rise in hiring in the last quarter of this year.
The finance and business services sector moved up one per cent; representing a move into positive figures for the first time in five quarters.
Commenting on the findings, Mr Doherty said: "This is definitely a sign that the job market is improving, however companies need to learn from their recruitment mistakes of the past."
He added: "To attract and retain the best staff, companies need to treat their employees and prospective employees with the same level of care as they treat their customers."
