IT recruitment remains a hot market for individuals with the kinds of skills in demand among employers, according to a new report.
Staffing services firm Vertitude is convinced that only a very small minority of human resource professionals expect to see the number people they need with IT training qualifications decrease in months to come.
In a report entitled 2008 IT Hiring Trends, the company also suggests that employers are particularly looking for anyone who can couple IT skills with a high level of business acumen.
"Despite recent economic woes across many industries, we are finding that IT jobs are still in high demand with employers continuing to forecast steady growth of IT staffing levels," said Kate Donovan, senior vice president of Vertitude.
Meanwhile, Steve Furber, professor of computer engineering at the University of Manchester, said recently that demand for people with IT skills in the UK is outstripping supply.
