Recession affecting the IT industry will turn to growth next year, new research shows.
A study conducted by analysts Computer Economics shows that the industry will stabilise and return to growth in 2010.
In reaching these conclusions, the firm surveyed a total of 139 companies based in the US and Canada, The Register reports.
The survey also found that IT managers are expecting growth of around two per cent next year, after remaining flat this year, the news provider reports.
As well as growth, the majority of IT managers are reportedly hoping to increase their budgets next year, while 16 per cent expect to have to make more cuts.
Last year's survey found that 11 per cent intended to increase their spending this year, while the majority expected their budgets to remain the same.
Research released by Gartner earlier this year also suggested that there would be growth in the IT industry in the coming year, the news provider noted separately.
