Companies will be looking to get better value for money from their web hosting services, says hosting company fasthosts.

According to its research of the US market, more than half (53 per cent) will seek more involvement in the purchasing of services.

It also revealed that a quarter of companies that use dedicated web hosting services will want to renegotiate costs and also claim to have learned more about the market.

According to fasthosts chief marketing officer Steve Holford, firms should review their web solutions "periodically" and make necessary changes.

"In a challenging operating environment it is imperative that every business gets what it pays for and pays only for what it needs," he commented.

Working in web design careers employees have to clearly understand a client's design brief and be able to tailor designs to suit set budgets.

Smaller firms now often back up their electronic data with network-attached storage as it has fallen in price.
