The recently reported reception issues suffered by Apple's new iPhone4 are not likely to trouble many users since the device is well designed in every other aspect, according to Flora Graham, mobile phones editor at CNET UK, a technology review website.
Ms Graham said consumers really won't care if the iPhone 4 has reception problems because "it's so fantastic at everything else that it does".
She went on to say that the device's call quality should be looked at by Apple, but warned that some reports of the reception issues may be intended to knock the company.
"It is something that they need to improve, but people love a drama and when something that gets built up so big the perfect drama is to get it knocked down," she said.
iSuppli said last week that the difficulties faced by Apple in satisfying the massive demand for the iPhone 4 are raising questions about the company's management of the supply chain and prompting frustrated customers to consider competitors' smartphones.
Using handheld devices is a topic that could be taught in IT courses.
