Vodafone costumers in the UK will be able to buy contracts using the iPhone from January 14 onwards, the company said.
"We started preparing our network over a year ago so that iPhone customers will really feel the advantage of being with Vodafone," said Guy Laurence, chief executive of Vodafone UK.
He went on to say that consumers will enjoy "an outstanding iPhone experience" wherever they are located. The services will be fast and reliable, the executive said.
He also said the company was especially happy to offer the services to companies, both directly and through a network of 20 dealers across Britain.
Vodafone clients will be able to pre-order the handset from today, in-store, through their account manager or online from £30 a month (on a 24 month contract), the firm added.
In other news, the UK's IT industry could soon be looking to Scandinavia to seek out ways of improving its mobile communication network, as the region looks set to implement 4G technology.
