Skills Framework for the Information Age version 4 is launched

18:00 9th December 2008

The SFA Foundation launched version four of the Skills Framework for the Information Age at its Skills Management conference on Thursday (December 4th).

Initially launched seven years ago, the publication provides a useful tool for companies implementing IT training programmes for their employees.

Such is the global success of the guide, it has recently been translated into Chinese and Japanese and an adapted version in Spanish is now available in South America.

Richard French, BCS head of marketing and new product development, commented: "The review we've undertaken sets the skill levels for the IT industry ensuring that they remain current. This is vitally important as the industry continues to mature.

He added that the current economic malaise made it even more important for companies to recruit IT personnel with the correct skills who would help to ensure the company survives the recession.

IT Jobs for Graduates recently launched a website dedicated to job-seekers in the IT sector in light of research that showed that 80 per cent of graduates solely rely on the internet as a job-seeking tool.ADNFCR-1667-ID-18919944-ADNFCR
