Software like the so-called Progress Responsive Progress Management, which could be taught in IT training, gives companies full visibility to be able to predict and respond to unexpected events like unplanned strikes in real time, said Dr Giles Nelson, deputy chief technology officer of Progress Software.
"This technology delivers real-time, comprehensive visibility into any combination of processes, billing transactions, events, and system-level information. This enables organisations to determine what's working and what's not and set the right course of action," Dr Nelson said.
He went on to say that the software also provides visibility into the events happening across all layers of any industry. He defined an event as any occurrence that affects the day-to-day operations of a company, like for example receiving an order, shipping a product, or an instance of fraud.
Separately, ReviewSNAP, recently launched Version 2.0 which will introduce further enhancements to its human resources system used by more than 450 businesses and nonprofit organisations worldwide.
