The rise in the number of people producing or uploading video content online is driving the growth of online video advertising, an expert has said.
According to Jamie Estrin, managing director of Web TV Enterprise, there has been an increase in the amount of "fresh, professionally produced content being added everyday".
Mr Estrin went on to say that with so much being added and so much being consumed naturally advertisers want to communicate with the people engaging with this content everyday.
His comments emerged as IPC Media said it has re-assigned Web TV Enterprise as its exclusive online video advertising agency.
Separately, Web TV Enterprise said last October that it had seen a four-fold increase in demand for online video advertising over the past year.
About 50 per cent of global online consumers have paid or would consider paying for professionally produced video content, according to Nielsen research.
