Web designers are being encouraged to take up a new offer from Microsoft that will see them pay no upfront costs.
Following on from the firm's launch of its BizSpark and DreamSpark programs, the computing giant is now launching WebsiteSpark in a bid to draw in IT professionals or those with a web design career.
Under the deal, companies pay just over £60 to participate at the end of a three-year period, during which time they will be able to access Microsoft's tools and technologies.
William Coleman, WebsiteSpark lead for the UK, told ZDNet.co.uk: "We're hoping to enroll agencies that have had little or no contact with Microsoft."
He added that there is much trust in the latest development, which is geared towards small web design companies with ten employees or fewer.
Those accepted into the deal receive licenses for products including Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition, Microsoft Expression Web 3 and Microsoft Expression Studio 3.
