MI6 is using the social networking site Facebook to recruit employees in an attempt to diversify its base of applicants.
The UK's secret service has been attempting to recruit more women and people from ethnic backgrounds with a series of high-profile advertising campaigns which denounce its Oxbridge image.
Recently re-branded as the Secret Intelligence Service, the home of James Bond operates worldwide to collect foreign intelligence in support of the British government's policies.
The latest advertisement on Facebook states: "A career in world events? Help influence world events [and] protect the UK. Operational officer roles include collecting and analysing global intelligence.
Earlier this year, the government announced that it planned to use social networking sites to interact with the public.
Last week, London mayor Boris Johnson revealed that he wants the capital to become a fully inclusive wi-fi city.
