Job boards are an effective resource and the IT sector should rely upon them when trying to recruit staff, reveals an IT recruitment expert.
The credit crunch is causing many UK businesses to look for ways to save money and, according to The IT Job Board, such a resource is a cost-effective method of recruiting new staff.
Alex Farrell, managing director of The IT Job Board, explained that "job boards are one of the most cost-effective methods of recruiting, especially in comparison with traditional media and recruitment agencies".
She added that 2009 is likely to further squeeze the purses of UK businesses and it is therefore in the best interests of companies to consult job boards as a way of saving money.
At a recent IT and Communications Sector Group meeting, IT recruiters ranked their confidence in the light of the credit crunch as six out of ten.
