The upward trend in the growth of online video advertising continues, according to Jamie Estrin, managing director of Web TV Enterprise.
"In online video we are seeing continued growth and each quarter the line is going in an upward curve," Mr Estrin said.
The expert said that the popularity of online advertising, whose measurement could be taught in IT courses, is because it provides companies the opportunity to target key groups and demographics.
Mr Estrin went on to say that the many niche content areas the web offers are key for marketers to target people specifically, an opportunity that is greater than on TV.
The expert also said metrics and analytic software would continue to be important in promoting targeted online video advertising.
Separately, comScore said earlier this month that it has launched a new service entitled Video Metrix 2.0. The tool will be used to measure online video ad impressions, the company said.
