Microsoft's windows 7 operating system is due for launch and the IT industry is preparing for its arrival.
The new system is seen by many as an opportunity for the IT industry to expand as more individuals and businesses migrate to the new technology.
Rough Guide, the guidebook and reference publisher, has launched a new publication designed to help users work their way around the new operating system and the author has suggested the launch of Windows 7 will go a long way to boosting Microsoft's image in the IT industry.
The company's reputation suffered when it launched its Vista operating system, which proved to be unpopular with users.
However, Simon May, author of The Rough Guide to Windows 7, said: "Windows 7 will be very good for Microsoft, it shows a return to form."
A recent survey carried out on Microsoft's behalf has predicted that the IT industry will lead the world out of the global recession over the next four years.
Windows 7, which is due to be launched on October 22nd, looks set to be key to that growth.
