A software firm in Hungary is due to unveil a bronze statue of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs later this month.
The IT industry giant, who died from cancer at the age of 56 in October, will be immortalised by Graphisoft with a 7 ft tall statue created by sculptor Erno Toth.
It has been designed to pay tribute to his leading role in the industry and recognise his influence on the firm, which received backing from Jobs when it was a fledgling company in the early 1980s.
Jobs met Graphisoft founder Gabor Bojar in 1984 and went on to offer him financial and marketing support when Hungary was still under communist rule.
The pioneering inventor and businessman has been credited with inspiring people around the world to pursue IT training and careers.
Andras Horvath, owner of Hungarian Apple retailer XMS, told the Associated Press: "I think it is very rare when someone dies ... that such a frenzy and so much empathy could be seen among people."
The statue will be formally unveiled at Graphisoft Park in Budapest on December 21st.
