More companies, including those in the IT industry, are hiring in the UK as the economy comes out of a steep downturn and this should be good news for highly-motivated and intelligent graduates, according to James Uffindell, CEO and founder of Bright Network, a social recruitment network with 5704 members.
"We place graduates into all sorts of roles - consultancies, hedge funds, media businesses - and the demand for them is ferocious," he said.
The expert said it is actually more challenging to find the righ graduate for a firm than for a graduate to find a job, adding that the recruitment market is showing general signs of improvement.
"For bright graduates it's good news," he said.
Graduates looking for a job must improve their work experience if they want to secure one, he went on to say. One key way to land a job, he said, is to persistently look for a relevant job and be open to the idea of taking any role in an industry.
