Apple's iPad 2 has outstripped supply in over 25 countries and it's even more appealing than its first version, according to a spokeswoman for gadgetsandgizmos.org, a reviews website.
"Apple has rolled out the iPad 2 in 25 countries, in every country demand has outstripped supply. In 2010 it took Apple a month to sell one million iPads in the US, the iPad 2 sold one million in the first weekend on sale. It's a popular device and one with true global appeal," she said.
No wonder demand is strong, she said, since the gadget offers a series of advantages compared to others. She said the iPad 2 has a larger touchscreen than traditional mobile platforms.
But at the same time it is more portable than a laptop computer, she added. "These two factors makes using it easier in a number of scenarios," she said.
She also highlighted the gadget's boot time. "It doesn't really have one because it utilises flash memory."
