Following the merger of the Orange/T-Mobile network, users expect the mobile network to improve, according to Conrad Longmore, editor of Mobile Gazette.
Everything Everywhere, the new name for the merged business, said recently that from October the combined customer base of the two firms would be able to access both networks free of charge. Despite developments of the IT industry in mobile networks, some customers sometimes experience problems accessing them.
But Mr Longmore said most users would be keen on Everything Everywhere to improve their 3.5G coverage.
The new company has placed emphasis on the development of a next-generation LTE (long-term evolution) mobile network.
The expert said: "Many customers would probably be more interested in Everything Everywhere improving their 3.5G coverage first, rather than spend a very large sum of money on something that very few people can take advantage of."
The company said that from this customers will have the opportunity to access both networks, enabling them to make calls and send texts in more places in the UK for no extra cost.
