IT departments in UK companies could consider adopting cloud computing as a way to become more efficient and to cut costs, according to Nathan Marke, chief technology officer at the firm.
Mr Marke said enterprises might find in cloud computing the answer to cope with growing financial constraints and the need to adopt more flexibility.
"Cost pressures have continued to grow while IT departments struggle to increase business agility and cope with the peaks and troughs in demand for applications and services," he said.
The expert said companies are beginning to understand than by adopting they can be more quick to react to the business environment. At the same time cloud computing helps businesses concentrate more on growth while cutting costs.
His comments emerged as the International Data Corporation suggested the cloud systems management software market will post sales of $2.5 billion in the next five years.
