The benefits of cloud computing "wild outweigh" potential risks for the majority of businesses, according to Joe Drumgoole, founder of FeedHenry.?
He said worries about potential risks were "mostly redundant".
"The benefits by and large wildly outweigh the potential risk for most businesses," he stated.
"Yes, absolutely, if you're buying and selling multi-billion dollar contracts for large commercial aircrafts, you need to take certain precautions," he said.
But the expert went on to say 95 per cent of today's businesses are concerned with reducing costs, increasing productivity, getting products to market and accessing more markets.
Mr Drumgoole added that common concerns about security and accessibility were "redundant in many cases".
A KPMG's survey UK businesses recently revealed 69 per cent think cloud usage poses the greatest security risk to their vital data. ?
