Providing broadband for all will require clear plans and timelines, according to Richard Patterson, spokesperson for broadband-expert.co.uk.
"The coalition government's pledge in May to ensure the 'rapid rollout of superfast broadband across the country' is a welcome one, however, it's sadly lacking in detail," he said.
The expert also said that he would promote a clear plan and timelines for providing broadband for all. He said it would include next generation superfast broadband via both wireless and cable.
The implementation of broadband is a topic that could be taught in IT training.
He went on to say that Britain seemed to be on track to meet the minimum requirements set out in the Digital Agenda.
These measures include a proposal to establish a five year policy programme to promote efficient radio spectrum management.
His remarks emerged as the European Commission outlined measures to deliver fast and ultra-fast broadband in Europe.
