The choice of cloud computing solutions for businesses will depend more on their circumstances, according to Seth Robinson, one of the authors of the CompTIA second annual Trends in Cloud Computing report.
The expert said the security breaches that have happened have prompted companies to measure all the variables of the cloud solution and they might look at a potent cloud solution and understand better what it can offer them.
"And as they understand the mix there, that's going to change the way they might want to set themselves up, both in a public cloud and establishing a private cloud. So it's going to be more circumstantial and more situation-based moving forward as companies determine how much risk they're willing to take on," he said.
His comments emerged as the latest CompTIA's report revealed companies are experimenting more with cloud computing although investment remains "measured".
