The use of the internet to market products is increasingly taking prominence among all brands, according to Karin von Abrams, senior analyst at eMarketer.
"Advertisers in the UK have also made great strides in cross-media marketing, and the expertise in this area is growing all the time," she said.
The expert at the digital marketing and analysis company went on to say that agencies were increasingly adept at truly integrated campaigns, using TV or mobile, for example, to drive online engagement.
She went to say that companies can benefit from building awareness online, or from rethinking their business processes to use digital channels fully.
In other IT industry news, Ms von Abrams had said IT marketing is set to continue to grow. She also said that any brands looking to market their products online can help boost their presence there as well.
According to research from Efficient Frontier, the UK's search IT marketing sector increased in growth by ten per cent over the past 12 months.
