Using apps and Twitter through mobile phones can help business travellers have better access to essential information when on the road and make their trip much smoother, according to Mark Caswell editor of businesstraveller.com.
"More people are using their mobile devices to access our website, and obviously the follow-on from that is that as people are more comfortable with using the internet on their mobile phone they're then going to be making bookings and online purchases in the same manner," Mr Caswell said.
Hotels and airlines have gradually started to provide virtual concierge services to travellers and allow clients to have access to fast and innovative services which are of great use to business travellers, the expert added.
Mr Casswell went on to say that apps and social media are reducing the hassle business travellers have to deal with by providing, quick, relevant and easy-to-use information.
