IT Industry news: Businesses 'on their way to paperless offices'
16:39 9th September 2011
Companies around the world could stop using paper because of the use of email spreading according to Emailogic.com, a consultancy that tries to change the email culture in organisations.
Companies struggle to make a shift towards a paperless office, according to Mark Powell, managing director of Emailogic.com.
"I think email has, in many respects, created more information for people to deal with and often, information they don't need to deal with or they shouldn't be dealing with," Mr Powell said.
He said because emails are so easy to send they end up creating unnecessary content and as a result end up wasting people's valuable time.
