The majority of people in the UK are opting for home entertainment rather than going out, new figures have revealed.
According to a new survey by T-Mobile, 53 per cent of Brits now prefer to invite friends and family to their house instead of meeting in bars and restaurants.
In addition, over a third of Britons spent money to make improvements on their home entertainment systems over the last year, while nine per cent enhanced their systems with games consoles.
According to Stephen Gater, head of marketing for home entertainment at LG UK, "entertainment is evolving". He noted that connectivity between devices, from media player to laptop to console to television, is becoming more significant.
"What we're driving is we're enabling people in their living rooms to make sure that their devices link together and we're actually giving them the chance to use their TV in a slightly different way," Mr Gater explained.
