Foward-thinking companies make the most of IT training

Those companies with progessive ideas make the most of people with IT training, according to Andy Doyle, account management and sales manager at BCS (formerly known as British Computer Society *insert ).

"At the moment forward-thinking organisations are finding themselves investing in people," he said.

He went on to say that such organisations are looking to ensure that their human capital is "protected as an investment and maximised as an investment."

He went on to say that, while organisations can be "fairly pragmatic" about reducing IT staff in order to reduce IT costs, that approqch shoulbe questioned such an approach should be questioned, he argued.

"That's investment that shouldn't be overlooked over and above hardware and software and other assets," Mr Doyle said.

BCS looks to help companies obtain the right people with the relevant IT traIning, he added.

Mr Doyle was speaking at 360°IT, an IT infrastructure event which took place at Earls Court in London last month I know this could have been yesterday, but saying last month makes it sound further away - just delete.
