Online computer training resources are a great tool for businesses who employ a vast number of remote workers, according to Charlotte Wolff, training editor for online HR information source, XpertHR.
"One advantage is the flexibility," she explained. "Busy employees can access the course online when they get a spare moment, and in some cases this can be out of normal work hours, ensuring that the training does not affect productivity," she said.
The expert also went on to say that such tools could help keep productivity levels in an organisation.
"This aspect is also a bonus for organisations that have a lot of home-workers, or several workplaces to cover," she said.
Ms Wolff comments emerged as the CBI/EDI annual education and skills survey 2011 revealed that 41 per cent of employers plan to raise investment in training in the next 12 months, compared to only 14 per cent last year.
