Companies that are concerned about the potential of cloud computing are the ones that have not yet recognised and sampled its benefits, an expert has claimed.
Martino Corbelli, marketing director at on-demand computing and communication services provider Star, has claimed businesses that fear cloud computing are the ones that have not seen the benefits it can bring to their organisation.
Therefore, he has suggested that when this changes, even more companies will be seeking to implement cloud computing strategies and as a result the IT industry will see even more demand for experts in the technology.
While cloud computing is not a "panacea", Mr Corbelli said it allows businesses to move away from the expense and hassle of software licensing and migrating to new platforms every few years.
According to a recent study by industry analyst firm Gartner, IT organisations will spend more money on private cloud computing investments than on offerings from public cloud providers by 2012.
