Box UK receives award short-listing

17:00 26th February 2009

Technology company Box UK has been short-listed for a high-profile industry award in light of its standing as a supplier of computer hardware and software.

The 2009 Computer Weekly Best Places to Work in IT Awards will be held in London's Royal Lancaster Hotel on May 22nd and Box has been short-listed on the strength of anonymous feedback provided by employers and employees alike.

Questionnaires provided information on a range of subjects from computer training facilities through to recruitment plans and turnover.

Brian McKenna, editor of Computer Weekly, said: "In these markets the employee opinion reports have become a valued part of the HR function, giving every firm plenty of ideas about how their employees feel they could improve - as well as identifying what they like about working there."

Box's short-listing could potentially encourage a greater number of people to seek IT careers with the firm.

The company has been doing business for over ten years and according to its website produces an average year-on-year growth of nearly 25 per cent.
