Grants worth a total of £6 million have been designated for training in the east of England.
EDP24.co.uk said the payments are to help those who have been made redundant get back into work.
People over the age of 18 who are at risk of redundancy or have been made unemployed in the past three months can apply for the grant and take advantage of courses made available for them.
Courses include secretarial, business, finance or IT training. Advice on how to complete a job application and tips for interview techniques are also on offer.
Glyn Woodman, director of Pitman Training Norwich, said: "We hope the training will help get people back into work as quickly as possible and we have strong links with recruitment agencies to take advantage of emerging opportunities and careers advice."
Pitman Training Norwich is one of the organisations that has received money from the grant to deliver training.
The company was established in Norwich 12 years ago and has so far delivered courses for nearly 10,000 people in secretarial and IT training.
