Skillset will continue to work with the Creative Media Industries in the UK to support training and education in the sector, according to the government.
The organisation was judged to have performed well in the assistance it has provided across the media sector and the new agreement will see the body extend its licence for five years, reports Gamers Daily News.
Particular praise was given for Skillset's ability to tailor its programmes for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, while also developing Screen and Media Academies in collaboration with the higher education sector.
Dinah Caine, chief executive of Skillset, told the website: "The relicensing process has been very helpful in our future planning as we embrace the opportunities and challenges ahead, from the dramatic shift in digital technology to a tough economic climate."
She added that skills training is crucial in preparing the industry for the array of challenges that could crop up the future.
The quality of skills training on offer in the creative industries could encourage people in other sectors to seek a career change.
A recent report from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills warned that skills training needs to be massively improved if the UK is to remain globally competitive.
