The IT training industry had praise heaped upon it at a recent awards night.
During a gala dinner and ceremony which was held at the Dorchester in London, the sector was honoured for its high level of service.
At the Institute of IT Training's Awards for 2009, Colin Steed, chief executive of the body, commented that the importance of recognising firms and individuals performing well in the industry must not be underestimated.
He added: "Such initiatives are representative of a sector that is fast maturing to accomplish specific, relevant business results through the appropriate use of standards-driven IT training and development."
Mr Steed went on to say the quality of service in the sector remains high, despite the pressures of the economic downturn.
Last month, the chief executive stated the awards ceremony is recognised as the oldest and most prestigious in the industry.
He also said the institute's 2008 conference was its most successful ever.
