NPower chooses online learning project

Energy firm NPower has announced it is to use a new online learning package to keep its workers' project management skills up-to-date.

Working with City of Sunderland College, the company hopes the partnership will bring management and workers closer together and improve efficiency.

The north-east college's School of Leadership and Management was chosen to design the 15-week advance project management course.

The course is interactive as it allows students to share their experiences as part of the learning process.

Michelle Todd, NPower's people development manager, said: "With our dispersed workforce, it isn't practical to take a classroom only approach to employee learning".

Students will use the Blackboard Learn platform and work online to focus their planning, organising and management skills.

Blackboard claim it puts learners at the centre of their courses, engaging them "inside and beyond" the classroom.

If you are keen to move into a web design career, you can easily begin your retraining with an online course.ADNFCR-1667-ID-19305577-ADNFCR
