A company specialising in management and IT training has launched a £1 million fund designed to help out corporate Britain during the recession, reports trainingzone.co.uk.
Companies who register with Learning Tree International will have access to the Training Pot, where they can apply for a training credit worth £500 which can be used to pursue computer training programmes or a variety of additional courses until the end of 2009.
Training credits can be applied for multiple times by a single company and will be available until the full £1 million has been used up.
Richard Chappell, managing director of Learning Tree in the UK, told the website: "Government has taken responsibility for helping companies and individuals survive the recession through initiatives such as Train to Gain. Training companies must now play their part."
He added that companies which train their staff regularly stand the most chance of surviving the current economic turmoil.
A recent forecast from Gartner revealed that PC sales are expected to fall by almost 12 per cent this year on 2008 figures as companies try to avoid spending money on new purchases.
