The Association for Learning Technology and the eLearning Network have announced a series of webinar sessions designed to provide IT training to professionals during their lunch break.
The 90 minute webinars begin today, with the Using Webinars for Real-Time Learning session receiving over 90 bookings.
Professionals can sign up to the events and then login to learn more about the way technology can be used to benefit them and for business managers to understand a bit more about how they can deploy IT skills to help their employees.
Two further webinars are being launched as part of the series, Serious Games in June and Video on a Shoestring in October.
It is hoped the IT training will help boost confidence in the way businesses use technology and make professionals recognise that using IT does not have to be an expensive outlay for companies.
The government is set to accept new proposals that would see IT take a more central role in the teaching of primary school children.
Ministers are also believed to be in favour of providing teachers with more IT training to ensure they are able to stay one step ahead of increasingly computer-savvy and IT-literate youngsters.
