A workshop has been arranged to help employers come together to discuss ways in which they can improve their IT recruitment.
Organised by e-skills UK, the workshop will take place in London on June 12th and employers will be asked to contribute ideas for developing a Skills Academy for IT.
Employers will have access to new technology during the workshop and will be able to offer their feedback, while the event will serve as a forum to talk about how computer training can be improved in the workplace.
On the e-skills website the organisation said: "During the workshop, we will also explore the learning and qualifications that will be provided by the academy. This session covers well-known subject areas together with specialist and future skills areas."
The organisation added that existing training practices will be taken into account in order to work more effectively with businesses.
Economic research consultancy Capital Economics has warned that the effects of the recession could drive unemployment in the UK to 3.5 million in the coming years.
