Barclays is hoping a new movie it commissioned and used to teach staff about the importance of information security will have a lasting effect.
The collection of film clips was publicised with posters and even had its own premiere.
Thanks to the video being made available to 140,000 staff around the world, the company has since seen reports of security risks increase tenfold.
Deputy head of information risk management Mark Logsdon told Computer Weekly: "We wanted to do something different and be clever about deliver."
Organisations often send their employees on IT courses to improve their computing skills, with these workers returning more knowledgeable and able to pass on new working practices.
According to Deutsche Presse-Agenteur, the European Union has said it had more claims from firms keen to retrain workers in the first six months of this year, than in all of 2008.
