If you enjoy solving mathematical problems - and you are looking for a career change - then IT training could open a door for you.
Marcus de Sautoy, professor of mathematics at Wadham College, Oxford University, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that a good grasp of maths is becoming increasingly important in today's society.
"The technology that is being used to change our voices into zeroes and ones - that is all using maths," he is quoted as saying by Online Recruitment.
"Our world is built on the internet, on mobile phones, on new gadgets and that is all maths."
